Robert Galston moved into the Mynarski neighborhood of North Point Douglas with his wife, Erin, in September of 2005. He quickly become involved in the community, and was appointed Co-chair of the Point Douglas Residents' Committee in May of 2006.
Robert recognizes how important it is for the progress of the ward that a city councillor works for everyone--citizens, businesses, and community groups. There is so much potential for Mynarski to be a more safe, sustainable and exciting place to live, learn, work, and play. Robert Galston has the energy and ideas to help make that happen.
In addition to co-chairing the neighborhood resident's committee, Robert has been active in rapid transit and urban revitalization advocacy, co-founding the Transit Rider's Union of Winnipeg (TRU Winnipeg) in July of 2005. His writing on these subjects has appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press.
Robert is employed as a crisis worker at Main Street Project. He and his wife Erin have a seven month old daughter Sadie.
